Ruger 10/22 Takedown Project

We recently had the opportunity to do something that we normally don’t get to do in the shop with a Ruger 10/22 Takedown.  For those of you who are not familiar with this gun, you really need to check it out.  The gun breaks down quickly with the throw of a lever in the forend.  The uses of this gun are virtually limitless.  LEO applications are countless for those wanting something very quiet.  Civilians will...

Sevigny Competition Sights

Just finished up a Glock 34 for that will be a competition gun for IDPA.  The customer and I decided to add a set of Dave Sevigny Competition Sights to the gun.  These sights are made by Warren Tactical and feature a plain black rear sight with a fiber optic front sight.  The sight comes with a red and a green tube for you to choose.  We settled on the red tube, and I think this suits my eyes better. Internally we did a competition trigger job...

Enter the Lasermax option for the LCP.  It is a compact laser that mounts on the trigger guard of the gun. ...

I recently received several products from Wild Things Tactical (wildthingsgear.com) to review out of their Soft Shell line of clothing. Before receiving the samples, I had only heard of Wild Things from my outdoor adventure experience. I was unaware that they have been providing tactical clothing built to customer spec for many years.   After wearing the samples I spoke with Brian Foley, the product manager for Wild Things, about...

Last weekend we held a class for the TN Handgun Carry Permit.  This is always a fun class to teach, because so many of the shooters are newer to the shooting disciplines and don’t have the bad habits already formed.  They literally soak up every thing you have to say and start shooting better by the end of the day. At the end of the class we let the students shoot many of our personal guns so they can get a feel for what’s out...
