From time to time we are asked to supply an extended mag release for a Glock. In this video we are going to show you two options which we think will really help. One is a custom modification we do in the shop. The other is from Ghost. Both of these will cost you $20 installed, so you won’t be out a lot, but they will make a big difference in your reloads.
Check out the pictures below the video when it finishes.

I just got a glock 23 and i will be in law enforcement and also left handed. what mag release would be best for me.. The gun holster i will be using is a blackhawk level 2..
Jon, the MCC release would probably serve you the best. We have many shooters who have tried it in a CCW capacity. Having said that, make sure you check with your department before you install anything on your duty weapon. Most departments will not allow you to do that without an Departmental Armorer approving and installing the accessory. If you get the go ahead, shoot us an email.
sweet thanks will let u know..
Am having difficulty deciding between the Ghost and MCC version. I have a Glock 19 that will be used for CCW in a blade-tec paddle holster. I have a short thumb and want to be able to drop the magazine without changing grip on my pistol and feel the Ghost would be best suited for this goal, however am concerned with inadvertent magazine release while holstered which could be disasterous. What do you recommend?
thank you, Dr. Mike
Good question. The MCC is more low profile than the ghost. It will give you less chance of an inadvertent release. I will say that it will totally depend on what you are doing and what rig you are carrying it in.
How far does the MCC and the Ghost extend beyond the frame? Can’t be used in IDPA if it extends more than .200″
It goes about .144 so you would be good for IDPA. The Ghost is larger and I don’t have one currently in stock to measure off of, but I think it would be at or above the .200 you nee.
