I noticed the other day that there were a ton of posts out there gathering some attention. These posts encourage you to do a $0.25 trigger job by simply using some polishing compound to “really slick up your Glock.” Will you see any results? Doubtful. But hey, what do you expect for a quarter? Surely you aren’t about to do this and think you are going to get a great trigger job. That would be crazy, and you are so much smarter than that. If someone told you to take your 1911 or AR apart and do a trigger job with some polish, would that sound legitimate? Give me a break.
Doing some polishing is simply polishing. We polish parts all the time, but we don’t call it a trigger job, and you shouldn’t buy into that. To smooth things up the way they should be will require knowing what you are doing.
So if you have nothing better to do this weekend, get some polish and experiment. You want it done right? Get it done right the first time.
